CALL TO SERVICE

Please prayerfully consider becoming a sponsor; applications are available on our web site. Also, prayerfully consider whether you would like to serve on a team or perhaps your talents are more administrative and you would like to be considered for a board position. Your help is needed at the reunions, support parties, and weekends.

HELP NEEDED

1.      Prayer is needed for the upcoming Koinonia weekend.

2.      CHURCHES Needed:

We need places to host reunions; they are held on the 2nd Saturday of every month. Please contact Randy Menges if for more information about becoming a host church or if you have an interest participating in a reunion.

3.      The kitchen trailer needs items such as paper goods. Contact Karmel Yelle if you can help with any of these items.

4.      After putting on a weekend you’re tired and it makes for an even longer day if you have to pack the trailer and clean up also. The Warden coordinator needs “a few Good Men or Women” who could commit to attending the closing and helping breakdown and clean up after the weekend. With enough volunteers this should take over an hour. Prayerfully consider this and call Frank Juszli to help.

5.      Prayerfully consider being a sponsor. Koinonia exist to serve the Christian community by sharing God’s love and grace with others and to raise up individuals who can energies their local church.

ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES

Minutes from the Columbus Koinonia Annual Business Meeting held June 9, 2007, 6:30 PM at
New Hope Church, Pickerington, Ohio

Opening Prayer & Devotions:  The meeting was called to order by Gene Tolliver and opened in prayer by Lovell.

Columbus Koinonia Continuance Board (CKCB) annual reports:

Secretary:  Connie Pridemore shared the job duties of the Secretary to the Board.

Treasurer:  Jim Roberts handed out reports of all financial transactions made in 07/16/07 to 06/11/07.  He explained that CK does give to the churches whose facilities we use as a tithe.

Post K:  Randy Menges reported that there was a need for churches to host reunions.

Warden:  Tom Marshall reported that some of the job duties of the Warden were to keep the shelves stocked—posters, Koins, etc.

Music:  Deb Allen noted this has been a busy year for music.  New songs have been added—the music, notes, power point and overheads.  She has done much to ensure the CCLI licensing requirements have been kept.

Kitchen:  Karmel Yelle noted part of her job was ordering paper supplies, etc. to keep the kitchen trailer stocked.

Communication:  Gene Tolliver reported that the newsletter costs $1000 per year.  This includes copying the newsletter, stamps, and the permit that allows bulk mailing.  The Newsletter is used to communicate to the people in the body of Koinonia.   If anyone has anything they would like to share, please submit your information to Gene and it will be put in the next newsletter.  He advised that the newsletter is not done every month due to costs.

Facilities:  Gene announced that we would be at Geneva Hills next year.

Nominating Committee report:

Committee Members (2 from board & 3 from body):

Deb Allen, Chair, Randy Menges, Steve Reed, Sherry Hendershodt, Donna Reeves

The position nominations for a two-year term 2007-2009:

Treasurer:                  Jim Litt

Pre K Coordinator:   Shirley Riser

Spiritual Director:      Lovell Harper

Facilities:                   Regina Edwards

Warden:                     (this person is currently praying about taking the position)

The floor was opened for other nominations. After a pause, Jim Roberts made a motion to close nominations. Lovell Harper seconded it.  No objections. The vote was taken and the above new board members were elected unanimously. The body joined together and prayed for the new Board members and members of the Body.

Many thanks to the outgoing Board members—Felix Huertas, Jim Roberts, Tom Marshall, and Cindie Galloway for all the hard work they have done the last two years.  You are a Blessing to the Body of Koinonia.  Gene made a motion to adjourn the meeting; Lovell seconded it and the 2007 annual meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted by Connie Pridemore, Secretary to the CKCB.

OPPORTUNITY FOR BLESSINGS

A Count It All Joy Party Is A Journey!

Imagine going on a journey as a corporate body of believers, together in unity. Together we will swim in the River of Life which flows from the very Throne of our Heavenly Father.  Together we will drink from the Cup of Life, and stop to rest in green pastures.  Together we will climb the Mountain of the Lord. Together we will ascend to the Throne Room where we will “tabernacle with our Lord”.  Together we will seek His Face, and in the stillness of His presence, bask in His Glory.  Together we will dance and rejoice in His Love. Together we will descend in intercession and warfare.  Together we will “experience His Freedom” from the bondages of humanity!

James 1: 2-3

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

1 Peter 1:8-9

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now,

you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you

are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
